TÜRKİYE’NİN DIŞ TİCARET HACMİNİN ÇEKİM MODELİ İLE TAHMİNİ

Abstract

Bu
çalışmayla Türkiye dış ticaretinin yaklaşık dörtte üçünü oluşturan 27 ülke
arasındaki dış ticaret hacminin çekim modeliyle tahmin edilmesini ele
almaktadır. Panel regresyon analiziyle 1993-2016 yılları arasında ele alınan
ülkelerin GSYH’leri, nüfus miktarları ile ülkeler arasındaki mesafenin yer
aldığı tahmin modellerinde, ticaret hacmi bağımlı değişken olarak
değerlendirilmiştir. Bu çalışmada amaç, Türkiye’nin 27 dış ticaret ortağıyla yapılan
dış ticaretinde GSHY ve uzaklığın etkisinin olup olmadığını tespit etmektir. Bu
amaçla Çekim Modeli panel regresyon yöntemi ile tahmin edilmiş ve GSYH’nin dış
ticaret üzerinde etkisi bulunmuş iken mesafenin anlamlı bir etkisi tespit
edilememiştir. Yapılan tahminde elde edilen sonuçların GSYH değişkeninin
Lewirni Katsayıları teoriye uygun ve anlamlı olarak tespit edilmiştir. Buna
karşın uzaklık değişkeni istatistiki olarak anlamlı çıkmamasına rağmen, tahmin
katsayısı işaretinin teoriye uygun işaret taşıdığı tespit edilmiştir. İki
farklı tahminde en uygun modelin sabit etkiler panel tahmini olduğu ve nüfus
değişkeniyle yapay değişkenlerin tahminlerde çok fazla belirleyiciliğini tespit
edilmediği elde edilen sonuçlar arasındadır.
