Author Guidelines

1. General Principles
Articles submitted to our journal must be original and not previously published or under review elsewhere.
Manuscripts must be uploaded via the “Submit a Manuscript” section in the Dergipark system (https://dergipark.org.tr/en/journal/4631/submission/step/manuscript/new).
Studies sent to the journal by e-mail will not be considered for evaluation.
The publication languages of the journal are Turkish and English. Abstracts in both languages are mandatory.
Authors must attach the Ethics Committee Approval document for studies requiring such approval during the article submission process.

2. Format and Layout
The manuscript must be prepared in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.
The page size should be A4, with margins set to 2.5 cm on all sides (top, bottom, left, right).
The entire manuscript must be written in Times New Roman, 11-point font, with 1.15 line spacing. Paragraphs should have 6 pt spacing after each and a 1.25 cm first-line indent.

3. Headings
The article title must be written in both Turkish and English, 14-point, bold, and centered. In this context, for manuscripts written in English, the English title and abstract should appear first, followed by the Turkish title and abstract. For manuscripts written in Turkish, the Turkish title and abstract should appear first, followed by the English title and abstract.
Abbreviations should be avoided in the title, and section headings should be numbered and formatted as follows:
Level 1 Heading: 12-point, bold, all capital letters.
Level 2 Heading: 12-point, bold, with only the first letters capitalized.
Level 3 Heading: 11-point, italic, with only the first letters capitalized.

4. Author Information
Below the title, the author(s)’ full name(s), institutional affiliation(s), ORCID number(s), and e-mail address(es) must be included, and the corresponding author should be clearly indicated.

5. Abstract and Keywords
Both Turkish and English abstracts must be between 100–150 words. The abstracts should briefly and clearly state the purpose, sample, method, findings, and results of the study.
At least three keywords must be provided below each Turkish and English abstract. Following the keywords, the “Article Type” must be specified.

6. Main Text Structure
The submitted manuscripts should include the following sections:

Introduction
Theoretical Framework and Hypotheses
Method
Findings / Analysis
Discussion
Conclusion and Recommendations
References

NOTE: The “Theoretical Framework and Hypotheses” section may optionally be presented under separate headings or include subheadings such as “Conceptual Model.”

7. Tables, Figures, and Graphs
All tables and figures must be numbered (e.g., Table 1, Figure 2) and include a brief explanatory title. The first word of the table title should begin with a capital letter and be placed above the table, while the title of a figure (or graph) should be placed below it.
Tables and figures should appear in the text where they are explained and referenced. If a citation is required for a table or figure, the source should be indicated below it (e.g., Source: Meriç and Ekinci (2025: 25)).

8. Citation and References
The APA 7 (American Psychological Association, 7th Edition) style must be used in manuscripts.
In-text citations should follow the (Author, Year) format.
For works with two authors, if the main language of the article is Turkish, use the conjunction “ve” (e.g., Yenikaya ve Oktaysoy, 2025); if the main language is English, use “&” (e.g., Yenikaya & Oktaysoy, 2025). When referring to an English article within a sentence, “and” should be used (e.g., Yenikaya and Oktaysoy (2025) stated that…).
For works with three or more authors, all authors’ surnames should be listed in the first citation. In subsequent citations, for articles written in Turkish, use “vd.” (e.g., Kerse vd., 2025); for articles written in English, use “et al.” (e.g., Kerse et al., 2025).
All references listed in the reference section must be arranged in alphabetical order.

9. Publication Ethics and Plagiarism
All manuscripts are checked using a plagiarism detection program (iThenticate), and the similarity rate must not exceed 20%.
Failure to provide proper citation is considered an ethical violation.
The author(s) are responsible for adhering to the principles of research and publication ethics.

10. Review Process
Manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo a preliminary review before being sent to at least two referees. In cases where one referee recommends “accept” and the other “reject” the opinion of a third referee is sought. Ultimately, a decision of “Accept,” “Revise,” or “Reject” is made for the manuscripts. The review process may take approximately 4–6 weeks.

11. Supplementary Files and Attachments
The similarity report (iThenticate) must be uploaded to the system during the submission process.
If applicable, the ethics committee approval document must also be uploaded as a file during submission, and the necessary details (name of the committee, document number, etc.) must be provided at the end of the text under the heading Ethical Statement, before the References section.
Information regarding the author contribution statement must be provided at the end of the text, before the References section.
Information regarding the conflict of interest statement must also be provided at the end of the text, before the References section.

12. Copyright and Open Access Policy
All articles published in the journal are open access. Authors retain the copyright of their work while granting the journal the right to publish it by uploading and submitting the copyright transfer form to the system.
All content is shared under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license.

13. Language and Writing Check
For Turkish manuscripts uploaded to the system, the current spelling guide of the Turkish Language Association (Türk Dil Kurumu) must be followed. English manuscripts must undergo a professional language editing process. The author(s) are responsible for any spelling, punctuation, or formatting errors.
