Antroposentrik ve Ekosentrik Bağlamda İbn Haldun’da Çevre Duyarlılığı (Bir Karşılaştırma Denemesi)

Abstract

Sanayi toplumlarında etkisi daha fazla hissedilen çevre sorunları artık günümüzde küresel bir boyut kazanmıştır. Aynı zamanda çevresel sorunların birçok çeşidinden söz edilir hale gelmiştir. Bu sorunla mücadele etmek ve kitlelerin duyarlılık kazanmasını sağlamak amacıyla geliştirilen çalışma ve önlemler konusunda önemli bir mesafe kat edilmiştir. Ancak istenen sonuç elde edilememiştir. Çevrenin korunmasına yönelik çalışmalar ve önlemler yeni gelişmeler değildir. İnsanlık tarihinde çevre sorunlarının çözümüne yönelik yapılan çalışmaların ve sorunlara yönelik duyarlılığı geliştirmek için ortaya konulan düşüncelerin birçok örneği mevcuttur. İbn Haldun, yaşadığı dönemin şartları içerisinde daha yerleşim aşamasındayken çevre konusuna duyarlılık göstermiş ve bu konuda birtakım önerilerde bulunmuş bir düşünürdür. Dolayısıyla bu çalışmada, İbn Haldun’un çevre sorunlarına yaklaşımı ele alınmıştır. Onun çevre kirliliğini bir problem olarak ele alması, bu sorunun önlenmesi konusundaki tespitleri ve çözüm önerileri irdelenmiştir. Ayrıca İbn Haldun’un çevre görüşünün, doğa merkezli ve insan merkezli temel çevre hareketleriyle bir karşılaştırması yapılmış, bu bağlamda İbn Haldun’un çevre konusundaki yeri tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada İbn Haldun’un çevre sorunlarıyla ilgili duyarlılığını ortaya koyduğu Mukaddime merkezde tutulmuş ve konu betimsel analiz yaklaşımı ile ele alınmıştır.

Environmental Awareness in Ibn Khaldun in Anthropocentric and Ecocentric Context (A Comparison Essay)

Abstract

Environmental problems, the effects of which are felt more in industrial societies, have now gained a global dimension. At the same time, many types of environmental problems have become mentioned. Significant progress has been made in the studies and measures developed to combat this problem and to raise awareness of the masses. However, the desired result was not achieved. Studies and measures for the protection of the environment are not new developments. In the history of humanity, there are many examples of studies for the solution of environmental problems and thoughts put forward to improve sensitivity to problems. Ibn Khaldun is a thinker who showed sensitivity to the environment while he was still in the settlement stage in the conditions of the period he lived in and made some suggestions on this subject. Therefore, in this study, Ibn Khaldun's approach to environmental problems is discussed. His handling of environmental pollution as a problem, his determinations on the prevention of this problem and his suggestions for solutions were examined. In addition, a comparison of Ibn Khaldun's environmental view with nature-centered and human-centered basic environmental movements was made, and in this context, Ibn Khaldun's place in the environment was tried to be determined. In the study, the Muqaddimah, in which Ibn Khaldun revealed his sensitivity to environmental problems, was kept in the center and the subject was handled with a descriptive analysis approach.
