People are social beings and one of their basic needs is to learn what is happening around them. Recently triggered by social media, FoMO is briefly expressed as the fear of missing developments. The fear of missing out developments (FoMO) affects people's lives and is associated with their searches on social media. This research was administered to examine the relationship between university students' FoMO levels and life satisfaction levels and their differences according to demographic variables (gender, age, class, working status in any sector while studying). The research is related to 307 volunteer university students studying in undergraduate and associate degree programs at the University of Kayseri at 16,734 students in the 2019-2020 academic year, by simple random sampling method. FoMO and Life Satisfaction Scales with validity and reliability studies in Turkish were used as data collection tools. Based on the normal distribution of variables, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), independent sample t-test and pearson correlation analysis were used in the study. According to the findings obtained as a result of the research, no significant relationship was found between FoMO and life satisfaction. It was also revealed that the level of FoMO does not differ with the variables of gender and employment status. However, significant differences were found in the participants' FoMO levels according to age and class variables. No significant relationship was found between life satisfaction levels and demographic variables.
