Abstract

Bu çalışma, ilköğretim okullarındaki sosyal bilgiler öğretiminin önceliklerini ve bundan hareketle sosyal bilgiler öğretmeni yetiştirmeye yönelik ne gibi çalışmaların yapılması gerektiği hakkındaki okul müdürü ve Milli Eğitim Sosyal Bilgiler müfettişlerinin görüş ve düşüncelerini tespit etmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı daha etkili bir sosyal bilgiler öğretimi için önceliklerin neler olduğu ve bu doğrultuda sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinde olması beklenilen özellikleri tespit etmek ve çözüm önerileri getirmektir. Bu araştırmada Samsun il merkezi ve ilçelerindeki 170 ilköğretim okul müdürü ve 9 Milli Eğitim Sosyal Bilgiler müfettişine yöneltilen açık uçlu sorular doğrultusunda çıkarılan sonuçlar değerlendirilmiştir.

THE PRIORITIES OF SOCIAL INSTRUCTION AND IMPLICATIONS TOWARDS TRAINING SOCIAL SCIENCE TEACHERS IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS

Abstract

This study has been conducted to determine the opinions of school managers and National Education social science inspectors about the priorities of social science instruction in primary schools and what sort of studies could be carried out in order to train social science teachers. The aim of this study is to find out the priorities for more effective social science instruction and in line with this to determine the necessers qualitications required for social science teachers and put forward some suggestions. In this study, the results have been assessed in line with open ended questions asked to 170 primers school managers and 8 social science inspectors of National Education in Samsun and its towns
