ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ ÇEVRİMİÇİ BİLGİ ARAMA STRATEJİLERİNİN BELİRLENMESİ

Year 2014, Volume: 15 Issue: 2, 191 - 206, 01.05.2014

Abstract

Determination of Teacher Candidates’ Online Searching Strategies

Year 2014, Volume: 15 Issue: 2, 191 - 206, 01.05.2014

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine teacher candidates’ online information searching strategies. Also, online information searching strategies was examined in terms of gender, frequency of searching information on internet and skill of searching information on internet. For this purpose, Online Information Searching Strategy Inventory was used. The study group consisted of 139 teacher candidates. In data analysis, descriptive statistics, ttest and ANOVA were used. According to research results, it was found that mean of evaluation and problem solving strategies scores are middle level, disorientation, purposeful thinking, select main ideas, trial and error and control strategies score are over the middle level. There is no significant difference on owned strategy levels in terms of gender. It was concluded that teacher candidates with high levels of information search and information search frequency have higher strategy levels. Owned strategy levels can be examined in terms of internet self-efficacy in future researchs
