Identifying Graduate Accreditation Standards for Teacher Education Programs: Standard Field of Internationalization and Cooperation

Year 2024, Volume: 25 Issue: 3, 1614 - 1654, 30.12.2024

Abstract

This research aims to develop quality assurance standards for the field of internationalization and cooperation for graduate teacher training programs, as there are no accreditation activities for graduate programs in Türkiye. Based on qualitative research method, this study used document analysis and Delphi technique to collect research data. By using document analysis, the undergraduate and graduate standards of 23 accreditation organizations from 12 countries were examined. The obtained data were analyzed by content analysis method. As a result of these reviews, graduate accreditation standards have been developed for graduate programs in teacher education in Türkiye. A total of 47 participants were involved in the study. 19 academicians, 6 research assistants, 12 teachers in Ph.D. programs and 10 graduate students participated in the study. The prepared standards were presented to the research participants for evaluation with the Delphi technique and the standards were revised in line with the feedback from the participants. Within the scope of the internationalization and cooperation standard field, 10 sub-standards, 15 indicators and 51 evidence have been identified.

Öğretmen Eğitimi Programları için Lisansüstü Akreditasyon Standartlarının Belirlenmesi: Uluslararasılaşma ve İşbirliği Standart Alanı

Year 2024, Volume: 25 Issue: 3, 1614 - 1654, 30.12.2024
