Some USA-Centered Approaches About Teaching The Silk Road History: Technology, Project And Museum

Abstract

The Silk Road is one of the oldest trade road in the history and many historical states benefitted from it economically. Besides, different cultures were impressed by each other in some ways such as social, political, military and religious via the Silk Road. And also, what the East and the West associates is the Silk Road. In addition, the itinerary of the Silk Road which has much different geography has enhanced its impact area. The Anatolia is in the Silk Road itinerary, too. And therefore, the Silk Road is so valuable in the historical development of the today’s geography. On the other hand, old Turkish states had fought for the domain of the Silk Road for a long time. The Silk Road had influenced on a lot of states in the long period of the history. Teaching about the history of the Silk Road is one of the significant points that need to be emphasized today because of the declared reasons. Therefore, new approach examples have been analyzed based on technology, project and museum relating to teaching about the history of the Silk Road
