Social Studies Teacher Candidates’ Perceptions About the Concept of Culture
Abstract
In terms of sociological culture is a social heritage left to us by learning from people. This
heritage is one we have to transfer their educational path. In this context, the concept of culture
is education and teaching during and in the basis of a host of features to teach lessons from
someone at Social Studies. The concept of culture which can be learned in an item and mediate
social studies teachers the qualifications to be transferred to individual hosts. Indeed, it is
important to have adequate knowledge about the concept of pedagogical competence next to the realization of good programming. The purpose of this research is to determine their views
on the cultural concepts of social studies teachers. This research In the academic year 2014-
2015 Karadeniz Technical University Fatih Education Faculty 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th classes social
studies teacher studying in the continuing education class was conducted through a working
group of 182. In this study which is a completed with a qualitive approach as data gathering
tools open ended surveys forms and semi-constructed interviews were used. The resulting forms
of content analysis of the qualitative research data analysis techniques were used to analyze
the data. The findings are the result of the teachers perceive the concept of culture against the
culture of corruption in the survey is correct, but seems unable to propose effective solutions.
