An Example of Investigation of Mathematics Courses Occurred in Dynamic Geometry Environments in the Context of Assessment
Abstract
Instruction process should comprise assessment activities that are necessary in order to
reveal and to increase the effectiveness of the instruction, to control students’ learning and to
determine students’ achievements. Since teachers face difficulties in the technology integrated
learning environments, it is possible that they also face difficulties in the context of assessment
in such environments. The aim of this study is to investigate mathematics courses occurred in dynamic geometry environments in the context of assessment. Being a case study, 6 pre-service
mathematics teachers from a state university have participated to the research. According to the
findings of the study, it may be concluded that classical essay and oral exams, and even home
works can be used for the assessment.
