Analyzing The Effects of Environment Education on Language Development on 24-36 Month Old Children With Parent Involved
Abstract
The permanent knowledge that the child got from his/her personal experiences should be
positive mannered towards the environment. With the preschool education given about the
environment for the children, should lead them to become responsible individuals towards their
environment and in their success on different areas of development should be supported. In the
studies prepared for these purposes analyzed preschool period and the effects of environment education on language development on kids with parents involved. Within a 10 week environment
education program, each week there were different themed activities for in-school and out-ofschool
periods. The study group of the research was 24-36 month old 11 children in Bolu,
Bağcılar Foundation Kindergarten in the 2014-2015 education term. In the research where
co-ed technic was used for quantitative data on portraying the development in language for
children inside the study group Turkish Receiver and Expression Language Test (TİFALDİ) was
used; for qualitative data “Family Participated Interview Form” and focus group interview
forms were used. Towards the main aim of the research, with the data gained from the children
inside the study groups, for the sake of the difference between pre-test and last-test averages in
Turkish Receiver and Expression Language Test (TİFALDİ) another test was used which was
Wilcoxon Signed Test. Family Participated Interview Form was utilized by content analysis.
The research results portrays that; with parents involved environment education on language
development does have positive effect for 24-36 month old children.
