SINIF ÖĞRETMENİ ADAYLARININ GEOMETRİK YAPILARA İLİŞKİN ÇİZİM BECERİLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Year 2013, Volume: 21 Issue: 3, 827 - 840, 15.07.2016

Abstract

INVESTIGATION OF PRESERVICE ELEMENTARYTEACHERS’ ABILITIES ON DRAWING GEOMETRIC CONSTRUCTION

Year 2013, Volume: 21 Issue: 3, 827 - 840, 15.07.2016

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate preservice elementary teachers’ abilities on drawing geometric construction. For this purpose data of the study was obtained from 140 elementary preservice teachers by stratified sampling to represent all geographical region of Turkey. Participants were asked to draw geometric construction of 5 and 6 cubes on a given isometric paper. Their drawings were examined and it was determined to what extent they are successful in drawing. According to findings, almost one third of the participants drew nothing. Only one fourth of the participants drew the construction correctly. Amongst the correct drawings only five of them were more complicated than drawing construction with just one column or a row.
