The aim of this study is that comparing the success of teacher candidates in 2013 the
Public Personnel Selection Examination participating (KPSSP-10 Rating KPSSP-121 test)
who is graduated from a foreign language education (in German, French and English) that
is the source of the teaching profession. Research, in accordance with this study, covers the
appointed teachers who are graduated from faculty of education, faculty of arts and sciences
and participating in teaching profession knowledge test(KPSSP-121). Comparison was made
as frequency, arithmetic mean and percentage distribution through the datas obtained from
the study. 19 449 number of candidate teachers participated in teaching profession knowledge
test(KPSSP-121). It is compared that point interval/range, gender, average of correct answer, numerical distribution of appointed teachers within teachers who are participated in the test
(KPSSP-121) and graduated from a foreign language education. It is observed that average
test success points of graduates from faculty of education are higher than the graduates from
faculty of arts and sciences. Therefore it is expected that the research results will contribute to
Turkey’s foreign language teacher training and employment policy.
