Abstract

The basic aim of this study is to investigate the effect of affective commitment to the organization on in-role and extra role behaviors of teachers that worked at schools in Ankara which are subsidiaries of the Ministry of National Education. The participants consist of 317 teachers working in Ankara. The research is a quantitative research using relational screening model. According to the results, it was found that affective commitment affected the in-role and extra role behaviors of employees. The results indicated that extra role behaviors vary according to the school types, working districts, and ages of the teachers. On the other hand, extra-role behaviors don’t vary according to position.
