CURRENT ISSUES IN THE EVALUATION OF TEACHING AND POSSIBLE CORRECTIONS IN THE SYSTEM

Abstract

In this study the evaluation topic, evaluation of learning has been investigated by different point of views. Learning and teaching constitutes two main branches of process, which are continuously in interaction. Evaluation has a meaning and entireness only if it contains these two main branches. The evaluation of learning is directed towards the student, which is the main element of the system and the environment conditions surrounding the student so the evaluation of teaching will be also directed towards the teacher, which is again the main element of the system, and the environment conditions surrounding the teacher. In this study the evaluation of the teachers’ sufficiency in lesson by using students’ opinion has been investigated. By the aim of improving teaching using methods of evaluation of teaching more frequently and methods of evaluation on using personals in teaching has been investigated.

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, öğretme-öğrenme sürecinde öğretimin değerlendirilmesi değişik bakış açılarından ele alınıp incelenmiştir. Öğrenme ve öğretme, öğretim sürecinin devamlı etkileşim halinde olan iki ana boyutunu oluşturmaktadır. Değerlendirme ise, ancak bu iki boyutu içermesi durumunda bir anlam ve bütünlük kazanır. Öğretme-öğrenme sürecinde öğretimin değerlendirilmesi nasıl ki öğretim sisteminin asıl öğesi ve konusu olan öğrenciye ve onu çevreleyen koşullara yönelikse, öğretimin değerlendirilmesi de yine sistemin vazgeçilmez öğesi olan ve ona işlerlik kazandıran öğretmene ve onu çevreleyen koşullara yönelik olacaktır. Yine yapılan çalışmada aynı zamanda öğrenci görüşlerine göre öğretmenlerin dersteki yeterliliklerinin değerlendirilmesi konusu ele alınarak, öğretimi iyileştirmek amacıyla öğretim sürecini değerlendirme yöntemlerini daha etkili kullanmada eğitici personelin eğitimi üzerinde durulmuştur.
