“Bir Sahiplenme Hikâyesi” Belgeseli Üzerinden Kenan Yavuz Etnografya Müzesi’ndeki Bellek Kurgusuna Kuramsal Bir Yaklaşım

Abstract

Müze ve bellek arasındaki ilişki; geçmişin hatırlanması, temsil edilmesi ve yeniden anlamlandırılmasına dayalı dinamik bir etkileşimden oluşmaktadır. Bu bağlamda müzeler; yalnızca sergileme alanları değil, aynı zamanda geçmiş, şimdi ve gelecek arasındaki kesişim noktalarıdır. Müzeler, geçmişe dair kolektif belleği inşa ve temsil eden mekânlar olarak birey ve toplum arasında köprüler kurmaktadır. Kenan Yavuz Etnografya Müzesi, 2013 yılında Bayburt'un Demirözü ilçesine bağlı, eski adıyla 'Loru' ve bugünkü adıyla Beşpınar Köyü'nde kurulan bir müzedir. Müze, kırsal yaşamın unutulmaya yüz tutmuş yönlerini hatırlatma ve yeniden canlandırma çabasıyla öne çıkmaktadır. Kurulduğu günden itibaren sergi, konser, broşür, ödül, kitap ve belgesel gibi belgeleme ve tanıtım ürünleri üzerinden varlığını sürdürmeye devam etmektedir. Çalışmada amaç; Kenan Yavuz Etnografya Müzesi’nde kurgulanan, inşa edilen, temsil edilen belleğin kuramsal olarak neye karşılık geldiğini ortaya koymaktır. Bu bağlamda çalışma; müze, bellek ve mekân arasındaki ilişkiyi ele alarak yeni kuramsal açılımlar sunmayı hedeflemektedir. Çalışma kapsamında “Bir Sahiplenme Hikâyesi (Pınar Kılıç, 2022)” belgeseli, müzede sunulan belleğin içeriğini analiz etmek için ana kaynak olarak ele alınmaktadır. Belgeselin sunmuş olduğu verilerden hareketle, çalışmada kuram oluşturma yöntemi –tümevarıma dayalı bir yaklaşımla özgün kavramsal çerçeveler oluşturmayı mümkün kıldığı için- temel alınmaktadır. Bu yöntem çerçevesinde, belgeselde yer alan ifadelerin kavramlaştırılmasıyla müzenin bellek kurgusuna dair bir model geliştirilmektedir.

A Theoretical Approach to the Memory Construction at the Kenan Yavuz Ethnography Museum Through the Documentary “A Story of Belonging”

Abstract

The relationship between museums and memory consists of a dynamic interaction based on the recollection, representation, and reinterpretation of the past. In this context, museums are not merely the exhibition spaces but also the intersection points between the past, present, and future. As spaces that construct and represent collective memories of the past, museums serve as bridges between individuals and society. The Kenan Yavuz Ethnography Museum, established in 2013 in Beşpınar Village (formerly known as ‘Loru’) in the Demirözü district of Bayburt, stands out for its efforts to recall and revive aspects of rural life that are on the verge of being forgotten. Since its inception, the museum has maintained its presence through exhibitions, concerts, brochures, awards, books, and documentaries as forms of documentation and promotion. This study aims to reveal the theoretical framework underlying the memory constructed, represented, and embodied at the Kenan Yavuz Ethnography Museum. Within this scope, the study seeks to provide new theoretical insights by examining the relationship between museums, space, and memory. The documentary of “Bir Sahiplenme Hikâyesi” (A Story of Belonging, Pınar Kılıç, 2022) is considered the primary source for analyzing the content of the memory presented in the museum. Employing an inductive approach, the study adopts a theory-building method, as the documentary’s data enables the formation of original conceptual frameworks. Within this methodological framework, a model concerning the museum’s memory construction is developed through the conceptualization of expressions in the documentary.
