N. A. BERDYAEV’İN TİN ANLAYIŞI

Year 2021, Volume: 7 Issue: 27, 494 - 504, 25.06.2021

Abstract

N. A. BERDYAEV'S UNDERSTANDING OF SPIRIT

Year 2021, Volume: 7 Issue: 27, 494 - 504, 25.06.2021

Abstract

Berdyaev is a dualist philosopher in terms of his understanding of reality. He accepts the kingdom of nature, matter, necessity on the one hand, and the kingdom of spirit, freedom, action on the other. These two worlds, two kingdoms are opposed to each other. Spiritual truths, freedom, God-human relationship, which cannot be reached with discursive thought and rational concepts, become clear only through spiritual experience. This experience is expressed through symbol and myth, not by rational concepts or the language of reason. In this study, Berdyaev's understanding of spirit and spiritual experience in connection with it is included.
