Downlink Resource Allocation In Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access

Abstract

In the Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) system, Resource Allocation is examined under two headings as User Pairing and Power Allocation. Resource allocation is accomplished by co-implementation of User Pairing and Power Allocation. With User Pairing, the users in the cell are divided into more than one group and NOMA is applied for each group. In this study, resources are allocated in the power domain for groups of two users each. Random Pairing, Optimal User Pairing and Adaptive User Pairing algorithms were applied to match users. After the user pairing algorithms used, power allocation was made within the groups formed. Power allocation, has been made using the Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm, which is one of the meta-heuristic optimization algorithms. Then, the results generated using the Channel State Information (CSI) based power allocation method, which is frequently used in the literature, were compared with the results generated by the Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm-based power allocation method. Finally, the data rates created as a result of resource allocation made with all these methods used were compared with the data rates created by traditional Orthogonal Multiple Access and its superiority was demonstrated. Within the scope of the study, it is aimed to group the users with an optimal match and to increase the total data rate of the system.

Dikgen Olmayan Çoklu Erişimde Aşağı Yönlü Kaynak Tahsisi

Abstract

Dikgen Olmayan Çoklu Erişim (NOMA) sisteminde Kaynak Tahsisi, Kullanıcı Eşleştirme ve Güç Tahsisi olmak üzere iki başlık altında incelenir. Kaynak tahsisi, Kullanıcı Eşleştirme ve Güç Tahsisinin birlikte uygulanması ile gerçekleştirilir. Kullanıcı Eşleştirme ile hücredeki kullanıcılar birden fazla gruba ayrılır ve her grup için NOMA uygulanır. Bu çalışmada, her biri, iki kullanıcıdan oluşan gruplar için güç alanında kaynak tahsisi yapılmıştır. Kullanıcıları eşleştirmek için Rastgele Eşleştirme, Optimal Kullanıcı Eşleştirme ve Uyarlanabilir Kullanıcı Eşleştirme algoritmaları kullanılmıştır. Kullanılan kullanıcı eşleştirme algoritmaları sonrası oluşan gruplar içerisinde güç tahsisi yapılmıştır. Güç tahsisi, meta-sezgisel optimizasyon algoritmalarından biri olan Parçacık Sürü Optimizasyon algoritması kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Ardından, literatürde sıkça kullanılan Kanal Durum Bilgisi (CSI) tabanlı güç tahsisi yöntemi kullanılarak oluşturulan sonuçlar, Parçacık Sürü Optimizasyonu algoritmasına dayalı güç tahsisi yöntemi ile oluşturulan sonuçlar ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Son olarak, kullanılan tüm bu yöntemler ile yapılan kaynak tahsisi sonucu oluşturulan veri hızları, geleneksel Dikgen Çoklu Erişim ile oluşturulan veri hızları ile karşılaştırılmıştır ve üstünlüğü ortaya konulmuştur. Çalışma kapsamında kullanıcıların optimal bir eşleşme ile gruplandırılması ve sistemin toplam veri hızının arttırılması hedeflenmiştir.
