Yıkıcı Teknolojilerin Belirlenmesi

Abstract

Öz

 





İleri teknoloji firmaları,
rekabet üstünlüğünü sürdürülebilir kılmak için pazar analizleriyle, teknolojik
fırsat ve tehditleri belirlemeye büyük oranda odaklanmaya başlamıştır.
Özellikle, var olan teknolojinin yerini beklenmedik bir şekilde alan yıkıcı
teknolojiler, firmalar arası rekabet dengesini biranda değiştirebilmektedir.
Yıkıcı teknolojiye adapte olabilmek için yapılan eylem genellikle yelkenli gemi
etkisiyle açıklanmaktadır. Bu etki; kullanılan teknolojinin maliyetini düşürmek
veya teknolojik gelişmelerle pazar alanını koruma çalışmaları olarak
tanımlanmaktadır. Araştırmalar, yerleşik büyük firmaların mevcut müşterilerinin
isteklerine kulak verdiklerini ve bu sebeple müşterilerine hitap eden ürünler
üzerinde yoğunlaştıklarını göstermektedir. Bu yoğunlaşma sebebiyle yıkıcı
teknolojilere yatırımların yapılması zorlaşmakta ve inovatif şirketlerin
gerisinde kalınmaktadır. Yönetim kararlarıyla, beklenmedik bir durum karşısında
acil stratejiler geliştirilmeli ve ilerleyen dönem içinde yapılacak adımlar
önceliklendirilmelidir. Bu aşamada, eylem planlamada yönetime yardımcı bir araç
olarak yol haritaları da kullanılmalıdır. Sonraki aşamalarda sürekli izleme
çalışmalarıyla firma içi bilgi akışı sürekli kılınmalıdır.  Firmaların; teknoloji yönetimi sistemi
içerisinde yer alan teknoloji, ürün, pazar dengesini iyi değerlendirmesiyle,
yıkıcı yeniliklerin negatif etkileri, avantaja çevrilebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada,
yıkıcı teknolojilerin
karakteristik özelliklerinden bahsedilmiş, yıkıcı teknoloji belirleme
yöntemlerinden; fikir birliği metodu, delfi metot, yapısal modeller, teknolojik
dikkat, alternatif teknoloji belirleme ve geçiş yapısı yöntemleri ele
alınmıştır. Değişen teknoloji çağında, çeşitli firmalardan örnekler verilerek
uygulanan stratejik kararlardan bahsedilmiş aynı zamanda eğilimlerin hangi yönde olduğu ortaya
konulmuştur.
