Takım sporu yapan adolesanların kimlik gelişimlerinin dürtüsellik ve sorumluluk duygusu ile İlişkisi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, takım sporu yapan adölesan bireylerin kimlik gelişimi ile dürtüsellik ve sorumluluk düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkileri incelemektir. Araştırma, ilişkisel tarama modeliyle yürütülmüştür. Çalışma grubunu, İstanbul ili Anadolu Yakasında yaşamakta olan ve takım sporları (futbol, voleybol, basketbol, hentbol) yapan 13–18 yaş aralığındaki 159 adölesan oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak Demografik Anket, Kimlik Gelişiminin Boyutları Ölçeği (KGBÖ), Barratt Dürtüsellik Ölçeği (BIS-11) ve Sorumluluk Duygusu ve Davranışı Ölçeği (SSDÖ) kullanılmıştır. Veriler SPSS 28.0 programı ile analiz edilmiş, Pearson korelasyon ve bağımsız örneklemler için t-testi uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, olumlu kimlik gelişimi boyutları (taahhüt verme, araştırma) daha düşük dürtüsellik ve daha yüksek sorumluluk düzeyleriyle anlamlı ilişkilidir. Ruminatif araştırma ise yüksek dürtüsellik ile ilişkilidir. Ayrıca, ergen dönemindeki kız çocuklarının erkek çocuklarına göre daha yüksek kimlik gelişimi ve sorumluluk puanlarına sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ailesinde spor yapan bireylerin dürtüsellik düzeylerinin daha düşük olduğu bulunmuştur. Takım sporu yapma süresi, özellikle ruminatif araştırma üzerinde anlamlı farklılık yaratmıştır. Olumsuz spor deneyimi (zorbalık, sakatlanma vb.) yaşayanların plan yapma becerilerinin daha zayıf olduğu görülmüştür. Araştırma, takım sporlarının ergenlik dönemindeki kimlik yapılanması ve davranışsal düzenleme sürecinde önemli bir rol oynadığını ortaya koymaktadır.

The relationship between identity development, impulsivity, and sense of responsibility in adolescents participating in Team Sports

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between identity development, impulsivity, and levels of responsibility among adolescents who participate in team sports. The research was conducted using a correlational survey model. The study group consisted of 159 adolescents aged between 13 and 18, residing on the Anatolian side of Istanbul and actively participating in team sports such as football, volleyball, basketball, and handball. The data were collected using a Demographic Questionnaire, the Dimensions of Identity Development Scale, the Barratt Impulsiveness Scale, and the Responsibility Feeling and Behavior Scale. The data were analyzed using SPSS 28.0, and Pearson correlation as well as independent samples t-tests were employed. According to the findings, positive identity development dimensions (commitment and exploration) were significantly associated with lower levels of impulsivity and higher levels of responsibility. Ruminative exploration was positively associated with higher impulsivity. Additionally, it was found that adolescent girls had higher levels of identity development and responsibility compared to boys. Adolescents with family members who participated in sports exhibited lower impulsivity levels. The duration of participation in team sports created a significant difference particularly in ruminative exploration. Adolescents who experienced negative sports-related events (e.g., bullying, injuries) were found to have weaker planning skills. The study reveals that team sports play an important role in the formation of identity and behavioral regulation processes during adolescence.
