Has supervised 3 PhD and 2 MA theses; completed 3 grant projects (Migration Processes in the Modern World: Perspectives and Challenges; and Gender Equality and Violence in the Modern World, financed by Georgian Technical University), and “Non-EU Europe” (held and financed by at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences in Kleve, Germany). Is a participant of the Erasmus + International Master Program in Gender and Security (the consortium of 5 universities, the project will start in September). She is a member of the editorial board of 16 International Journals, the editor of 12 books (IGI Global Publisher, USA, and IJOPEC Publication, London -Istanbul), the author of more than 40 scientific papers and 14 book chapters, a participant in 12 various Erasmus + Projects (KA1, KA2, etc.), a participant of more than 60 international scientific conferences (mostly as a keynote and majority abroad), and organizer of various international scientific conferences and workshops. Also, she is an expert in the Institute for Research and European Studies, Expert Network, Bitola; The chair of postdoctoral studies at European Scientific Institute, Kocani, Republic of Macedonia; A jury member of in European Capital of Democracy; A jury member of Innovation in Politics Awards, Vienna; Co-founder of Rotary Club Tbilisi Academia.
Her research interests are religion, migration, religious tourism, and European and Russian studies. She is fluent in the following languages: English, Russian, Georgian, Greek, Azerbaijani and Armenian.
Asst.Prof.Dr. HAJDI XHIXHA

An expert of Russian-Albanian relations, with a specific focus on the international relations and security issues. Highly proficient in Russian and Macedonian languages and culture. An expert of Russian policies and influences in the Balkans, in particular in Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia. An expert of security policies. Asst.Prof. Dr. Xhixha has earned her PhD in International Relations with the thesis “Albanian-Soviet Relations, 1949 – 1960” from Institute for European Studies, University of Tirana. She has graduated the university-level studies on expert of Russian and Macedonian language and culture at the University of Tirana, where she was awarded the certificate “EXCELLENT STUDENT” of University of Tirana in 2008. In the course of her studies, Asst.Prof. Dr. Xhixha has combined her proficiency in Russian language and culture with the discipline of international relations, diplomacy and security. She is the Responsible person for Political Science BA, Security Studies BA & Public Policy and Management MA programs; CO-CHAIR of the UBT work team for joint project between UBT & CENTRE FOR RESILIENCE AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT CAMBRIDGE, Policy Simulation Lab in Kosovo, on topic “Cambridge Policy Boot Camp (CPBC) on Feeding Children Nutritiously for Kosovo and the Coordinator of Joint Master PoSIG – Political Science International Relations and Governance Joint Master between UBT and Salzburg University.

Aylin (YAVAS) AKINLAR, Ph.D. is an academic (Assistant Professor), a sworn translator, a conference interpreter of English (BA), an Interpreter-in-aid at Disasters, an ESL lecturer, and a curriculum and instructional designer (MA & PhD.). She is married and the mother of two beautiful children.
She is fluent in both Turkish and English. She is a beginner in German, Spanish, and Arabic.
She has worked as a Fulbright Scholar at Cornell University (USA), Yildiz Technical University (TR), and Bandirma Onyedi Eylül University (TR) (currently). She has a Ph.D. with a focus on multicultural education, along with extensive experience in curriculum development, international education, and qualitative research, as well as a strong desire to improve teaching and learning experiences in higher education, gained over 18 years.
During her Ph.D., she designed “Instructional Technology Dual Degree Non-thesis Master’s Program” between YTU and the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) as “Director of the International Relations Office” and “Advisor to the Vice-Rector for International Joint and Double Degree Programs” at YTU and received “Multicultural Competence” course at NYIT in 2013 as well.
She has been to the USA, the Bahamas, the Canaries, Spain, Poland, Germany, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Norway, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Saudi Arabia, etc.
