ÖDÜL İLİŞKİLİ YEME ÖLÇEĞİ RED-13’ÜN TÜRKÇE GEÇERLİLİK VE GÜVENİLİRLİK ÇALIŞMASI

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı Ödül İlişkili Yeme Ölçeği RED-13’ü (Reward Related Eating RRE) Türkçeye çevirerek, Türk toplumundaki geçerliliğini ve güvenilirliğini incelemekti. Yöntem: Çalışma, Ocak-Aralık 2020 tarihleri arasında İstanbul’da online olarak Google Forms aracılığıyla, 18-65 yaş arası 400 katılımcı ile yürütüldü. Veri toplama sürecinde Sosyodemografik Bilgi Formu ve Ödül İlişkili Yeme Ölçeği Red-13’ün Türkçe sorularının bulunduğu tek form kullanıldı ve e-posta aracılığıyla veriler elde edildi. Verilerin istatistiksel analizlerinde IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows (Version 25.0) ve Amos (Version 23.0) programları kullanıldı. Bulgular: Katılımcıların yaş ortalaması 33,18 ± 8,31 yıl idi. Ölçeğin Cronbach alfa (α) güvenilirlik katsayısı 0.909 olarak hesaplandı. Ölçeğin test-tekrar teste ait korelasyon değeri r=0.771 olarak tespit edildi ve farklı zamanlarda yapılan bu iki uygulama arasında yüksek düzeyde pozitif yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki saptandı (p<0.001). Ölçekten herhangi bir madde çıkarılmadı ve açıklayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda toplam varyansın %72.77’sini açıklayan 3 faktörlü yapı elde edildi ve faktör yüklerinin uygun aralıkta olduğu (0.601-0.822) belirlendi. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda, elde edilen modelde genel model uyumu (x2/sd= 2.57, RMSEA=0.024, RMR=0.039) sağlandı. Ölçeğin orijinalinde olan ‘Yeme Üzerinde Kontrol Kaybı’, ‘Tokluk Eksikliği’ ve ‘Yiyecekle Meşgul Olma’ adında üç faktörlü yapının geçerli olduğu ve herhangi bir modifikasyona gerek duyulmadığı belirlendi. Sonuç: Türkçe’ye uyarlanan Ödül İlişkili Yeme Ölçeği Red-13’ün kabul edilebilir düzeyde geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğu tespit edildi.

A VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY STUDY OF REWARD-RELATED EATING SCALE RED-13 INTO TURKISH

Abstract

Objective: The aim of this study was to translate the Reward Related Eating RED-13 (RRE) Scale into Turkish and to evaluate its validity and reliability in Turkish society. Method: The study was carried out using Google Forms between January-December 2020 in Istanbul with 400 participants aged between 18-65 years. During the data collection process, a form containing the "Sociodemographic Information Form" and the Turkish version of the "Reward-Related Eating Scale RED-13" was used and data was obtained via e-mail. IBM SPSS Statistics for Windows (Version 25.0) and Amos (Version 23.0) programs were used for statistical analysis of the data. Results: The mean age of the participants was 33.18 ± 8.31 years. The Cronbach's alpha (α) reliability coefficient of the scale was calculated as 0.909. The test-retest correlation value of the scale was determined as r=0.771, and a high positive significant relation was found between these two practices performed at different times (p<0.001). No item was removed from the survey and as a result of the exploratory factor analysis, a 3-factor structure was obtained, which explained 72.77% of the total variance and factor loads were found to be in the appropriate range (0.601-0.822). General model fit (x2/sd=2.57, RMSEA=0.024, RMR=0.039) was achieved in the model obtained as a result of confirmatory factor analysis. It was determined that the three-factor structure of the original scale, namely 'Loss of Control Over Eating', 'Lack of Satiety' and 'Preoccupation with Food' was valid and no modification was required. Conclusion: The “Reward-Related Eating Scale Red-13” adapted to the Turkish was determined as an acceptably valid and reliable measurement tool.
