RENAL CELL CARCINOMA WITH ONCOCYTIC CELL TUMOR IN ASEMPTOMATIC DIALYSIS PATIENT

Year 2020, Volume: 21 Issue: 1, 121 - 124, 20.03.2020

Abstract

Chronic kidney disease in both predialysis patients and renal replacement therapy patients is connected with an increased risk of death, mainly due to cardiovascular diseases (56%), infections (11.2%) and neoplastic diseases (8%). The longer the dialysis duration, the greater incidence of malignancy. The prevalance of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) in patients with end stage renal disease on dialysis is reported to be higher than in the general population. The frequency of acquired cystic kidney disease (ACKD) increases with the duration of dialysis. ACKD-associated RCC tumors tend to be more common in males and often bilateral and multicentric. Oncocytoma from renal cell tumors is regarded as a variant tumor and may be histopathologically malignant although it is accepted as a benign tumor. This article will describe a renal mass that has been routinely detected in a patient who has been on dialysis treatment for a long time and who has no complaints.

ASEMPTOMATİK HEMODİYALİZ HASTASINDA RENAL HÜCRELİ KARSİNOM ONKOSİTİK HÜCRELİ TÜMÖR BİRLİKTELİĞİ
