Electronic communication systems have a wide impact on commercial life. By this means, business enterprises may contact with each other directly without the need of any intermediaries. However, a safe and transparent environment for parties participating in electronic commerce is required in order to realize expected benefits of electronic commerce. Special provisions are needed to prevent abuse of benefits of electronic commerce which may be abbreviated as e-commerce and particularly to end bad practices in sending undesired commercial communications to consumers.
Concept of electronic commerce, scope of electronic commerce, parties, features, effects of electronic commerce on economic and social life and legislation applicable to electronic commerce are analyzed and some remarks and evaluations on Law and Related Legislation on Regulation of Electronic Commerce are briefly discussed.
