Çalışma İradesi Ölçeği: Geçerlik ve Güvenirlik Çalışması

Abstract

Bu
çalışmanın amacı Duffy, Diemer, Perry, Laurenzi ve Torrey (2012) tarafından
 “engellere rağmen mesleki tercihler
yapma kapasitesi” (s. 401) olarak tanımlanan
çalışma iradesini ölçmek amacıyla
geliştirilen Çalışma İradesi Ölçeği’nin Türkçe çeviri, geçerlik ve güvenirlik
çalışmalarını yapmaktır. Katılımcılar yaşları 22 ile 63 arasında değişen 444
(234 kadın, 210 erkek) çalışan yetişkinden oluşmaktadır. Çalışma İradesi
Ölçeği’nin üç faktörlü yapısının sınanması amacıyla doğrulayıcı faktör analizi
yapılmış ve sonuçlar orijinal çalışma ile benzer olarak irade, yapısal ve
finansal engeller isimli alt ölçeklerin Türk çalışanlar içinde doğrulandığını
göstermiştir. Ayrıca, çalışma iradesinin temel benlik değerlendirmeleri ve iş
doyumu ile beklenen yönde orta derecede ilişkili olduğu görülmüştür. Ölçeğin
cinsiyete göre anlamlı bir farklılık gösterip göstermediğini anlamak için
ölçmenin değişmezliği testi yapılmıştır. Ölçeğin tamamı için iç tutarlık
katsayı .86, irade alt ölçeği için .75, yapısal engeller alt ölçeği için .72 ve
finansal engeller alt ölçeği için .82 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Bulgular genel
olarak değerlendirildiğinde, Çalışma İradesi Ölçeği’nin ülkemizde çalışan
yetişkinlerde kullanılabilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek olduğu
söylenebilir.
