There’s a very crucial place of worshiping in Islam the provides happiness in both life in the world and after life. Prayers comes to mind when saying worshiping. Prayers is praying ritüel that starts with takbir and some preparations, continues with specific words and movement, ends with selam. Preparations before prayers are called conditions of prayers and they are musts for prayers. One of these conditions is covering certain places of body and this is called setr-i avret. This conditions show some diffirences according to people’s some situations and their features brought by genesis. Also, this covering of body includes some cleaning rituels. Especially recently, it was though that it would be useful to re-examine this issue because of the various situations concerning the veiling in prayer and the frequent questions about the allowance of prayer in different clothes. In this article, it is aimed that “setr-i avret” in salaat, looking for some answer that are faced with in recent times and defining the standards of covering by this way are aimed.
Dünya ve ahiret mutluluğunun sağlanmasında ibadet hayatının çok önemli bir yeri vardır. İbadetler denildiğinde önce akla namaz gelir. Namaz; tekbir ile başlayıp belli söz ve hareketlerin varlığı ile anlam kazanarak selâm ile tamamalanan bir ibadettir. Namaz öncesi hazırlıklara namazın şartları denilmektedir ki bunlar birer farzdır. Onlardan birisi de örtülmesi gereken yerleri örtme anlamında “setr-i avret”tir. Bu şart kişilerin fitrî yapılarına, çeşitli durumlarına ve durumlara göre bazı yönleriyle farklılık arz etmektedir. Ayrıca bu örtünmenin, temizlik tarafı gibi bazı önemli meseleleri de vardır. Özellikle son zamanlarda namazda örtünmeyi ilgilendiren çeşitli durum ve farklı kıyâfetlerle namazın cevâzıyla ilgili sorularla sıkça karşılaşılması sebebiyle bu konunun yeniden incelenmesinin faydalı olacağı düşünülmüştür. Bu makalede namazda “setr-i avret” meselelerinin incelenmesi, zamanımızda muhatab olunan bazı sorulara cevap aranması ve böylece namazda kıyâfetin ölçüsünün tespiti hedeflenmiştir.
