Hemodiyaliz Hastasında Kateter İlişkili İntraatrial Enfekte Trombus

Year 2017, Volume: 12 Issue: 2, 31 - 33, 10.10.2017

Abstract

Catheter-Related Intraatrial Infected Thrombus in Hemodialysis Patient

Year 2017, Volume: 12 Issue: 2, 31 - 33, 10.10.2017

Abstract

Tunneled central venous catheters can be used in the patients with end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) who have vascular access difficulties. The catheter-related complications (malfunctions, infections, thrombosis) cause serious problems in these patients. Thrombosis of the catheter is more frequently seen than expected; however, it rarely becomes sympthomatic. In this case report, we presented a case with infected right atrial thrombus who is on hemodialysis treatment via tunneled central venous catheter.
