Abstract

Trigeminal trofik sendrom, trigeminal sinirin duyu dallarında meydana gelen hasar sonucunda ortaya çıkan nadir görülen bir durumdur. Baş-boyun bölgesine lokalize kronik ülserler ile karakterizedir. Literatürde herpes zoster enfeksiyonu sonrasında ve serebrovasküler olay sonrasında gelişen vakalar bildirilmiştir. Gereksiz tedavilerden kaçınılması için erken tanı önemlidir. Burada, burunda nazal kanatta yarım ay şeklinde ülseri olan 67 yaşındaki erkek hasta sunularak trigeminal trofik sendrom ile nazal ülser sebepleri tartışılacaktır.

Trigeminal Trophic Syndrome : A rare cause of nasal ulcer

Abstract

Trigeminal trophic syndrome is a rare condition that occurs as a result of damage to the sensory branches of the trigeminal nerve. It is characterized by chronic ulcers localized in the head and neck region. In the literature, cases developed after herpes zoster infection and after cerebrovascular disease have been reported. Early diagnosis is important to avoid unnecessary treatments. Here, a 67-year-old male patient with a crescent shaped ulceration on the nasal ala is presented, and the causes of trigeminal trophic syndrome and nasal ulcers will be discussed.
