Eritrosit Sedimentasyon Hızı ve Klinik Kullanımı

Abstract

Akut faz yanıtının ölçümü, hastalıkların tanı ve takibinde bize yardımcı olmaktadır. Bu ölçümler içinde de Eritrosit Sedimentasyon Hızı (ESH) yaygın olarak kullanılan bir tetkikdir. ESH’yi eritrositlerdeki rulo oluşumu ya da küme oluşumu belirler ve bu oluşumları etkileyen başlıca faktörler fibrinojen, α2, β ve γ globundir. Ayrıca; eritrositlerle plazma arasındaki oran, plazma vizkozitesi, sedimantasyon tüpü ile ilgili durumlar, kullanılan antikoagulan ve oda ısısı da ESH’yi etkiler. ESH; gebelik, menstrüasyon ve yaşlılık gibi fizyolojik durumlarda yükselebileceği gibi, patolojik birçok durumda da yükselebilir. ESH tıpkı nabız ve vücut ısısı gibi genel bilgi verir; ciddi hastalıkların çoğunda yükselir, ancak normalde kalabilir. Bu derlemede ESH’nin tanımı, ölçüm metodları, etkileyen faktörleri ve klinikte kullanımı hakkında pratik başvuru kaynağı sunmak amaçlanmıştır
