Protestan İş Ahlakı Hala Varlığını Sürdürüyor mu?

Year 1998, Volume: 1 (1) Issue: 1, 91 - 106, 10.01.1998

Abstract

Does the Protestant Work Ethic Stili Survive?

Year 1998, Volume: 1 (1) Issue: 1, 91 - 106, 10.01.1998

Abstract

This article discusses the validity of the concept "Protestan Work Ethic (PWE) for today's Western societies, as it was formulated by Max Weber early this century. In this
context, Max Weber's thought is summarized and the problem ıs analyzed in the light of empirical studies and theological resources on the issue. Does the PWE still survive, or, has this phenomenon become history? Answering this question, without doubt, requires comparative research on international scale. In addition, the opinions of contemporary Protestant theologians on work ethics also form another significant source of information
