Deprem Etkisinin Zamansızlığı: 6 ve 22 Şubat Depremlerinin Çocukluğunda Deprem Deneyimi Olanlarca Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

6 ve 22 Şubat 2023 Türkiye ve Suriye depremleri geniş bir coğrafyayı direkt etkilerken, sınırları aşan bir afete dönüşmüştür. Bu araştırma ile iddia edilen şudur ki, deprem yaşandığı yer ve zamanla kısıtlı kalmayan bir doğa olayı olarak, hayatlarında bir kere depreme maruz kalan insanlara süregelen etkiler bırakmaktadır. Araştırmanın amacı, deprem deneyiminin an’da kalmadığını açığa çıkaran deneyimler üzerinden depremin zamansızlığını ortaya koymaktır. TUBITAK projesi için toplanan verilerin bir kısmını içeren niteliksel yöntemle tasarlanmış bu araştırmada 10 katılımcı ile deprem deneyimlerine odaklanan görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Analiz MaxQda analiz programı ile yapılmıştır. Bu araştırma ile, çocukluğunda deprem yaşayanların 2023 yılında Türkiye’nin toplumsal gündemini oluşturan önemli depremlerden de kendi deneyimleri gibi etkilenmeleri deprem etkisinin zamansızlığını; toplumsal dayanışmanın herhangi bir deprem deneyiminde politik kararların önüne geçebildiğini; çocukluğun inşasında deprem deneyiminin kırılganlığı pekiştirici bir rolü olabileceğini tartışmaya açmak mümkün olabilmiştir.

The Timelessness of the Earthquake Effect: Evaluation of the 6 and 22 February Earthquakes by Those Who Experienced Earthquakes in Their Childhood

Abstract

Turkey and Syria earthquakes of 6 and 22 February 2023 turned into a disaster that transcended borders while they the directly affected a wide geography. What is claimed by this research is that, as a natural event that is not limited to the place and time in which it occurs, it leaves ongoing effects on people who are exposed to an earthquake once in their lives. The aim of the research is to reveal the timelessness of the earthquake through experiences that reveal that the earthquake experience does not remain in the moment. In this research designed with a qualitative method, which includes some of the data collected for the TUBITAK project, interviews focusing on earthquake experiences were conducted with 10 participants. The analysis was made with the MaxQda analysis program. With this research, it is seen that those who experienced earthquakes in their childhood will be affected by the important earthquakes that constitute Turkey's social agenda in 2023, just like their own experiences; the timelessness of the earthquake effect; that social solidarity can override political decisions in any earthquake experience; It has been possible to argue that the earthquake experience may have a role in reinforcing fragility in the construction of childhood.
