Şeyletiella Dermatiti: Olgu Sunumu

Abstract

Şeyletiella dermatiti (şeyletielloz); ana rezervuarı kedi, köpek ve tavşanlar olan Cheyletiella cinsi parazitlerin rastlantısal olarak insana bulaşması sonucu oluşan bir dermatit tablosudur. Hayvanların birbirleriyle ve dış ortamla temasının arttığı bahar aylarında sık görülür. Şeyletiella dermatiti hayvanla temastan ortalama 1-2 gün sonra ortaya çıkan sıklıkla eritemli ödemli papüllerle karakterizedir. Nadiren vezikülobüllöz ve nekrotizan lezyonlar da oluşabilir. Evcil hayvan taşıyıcı olduğu için insanla her temasdan sonra lezyonlar tekrarlayabilir. Lezyonlar dışında deride parazitin kendisi de nadiren görülebilmektedir. Ancak klinik olarak şüphelenilmediği takdirde tanı konulması zordur. Burada elli sekiz yaşında şeyletiella dermatiti tanısı konulan bir kadın hasta sunulmaktadır. Tekrarlayan kaşıntılı döküntü şikayeti ve özellikle kedi olmak üzere evcil hayvan yetiştirme öyküsü olan kişilerde ayırıcı tanıda şeyletiella dermatitinin de düşünülmesi gerektiğini vurgulamak için olgumuz sunulmuştur.

Cheyletiella Dermatitis: A Case Report

Abstract

Cheyletiella dermatitis (cheyletiellosis) is a dermatitis that occur as a result of incidental contamination of cheyletilla mites whose main reservoir is cats, dogs and rabbits. It is relatively common seen in spring time when the contact of animals with each other and with the external environment increases. Cheyletiella dermatitis is characterized by erythematous edematous papules that occur on average 1-2 days after contact with the animal. Rarely, vesiculobullous and necrotizing lesions may also occur. Since the pet is a carrier, lesions can recur after every contact with the human. Apart from the lesions, the parasite itself is rarely seen. However, it is difficult to diagnose unless clinically suspected. Here we report a fifty-eight-years-old female patient diagnosed as cheyletiella dermatitis. Our case is presented to emphasize that cheyletiella dermatitis should also be considered in the differential diagnosis in people with recurrent itchy rash complaints and pet breeding history, especially cats.
