1. GENERAL PRINCIPLES
Manuscripts submitted to the KutBilim Journal of Social Sciences and Arts must meet the following requirements:
· They must be original and not previously published.
· They must not be under review in another journal simultaneously.
· They must comply with academic and ethical standards.
Studies derived from conference papers, symposium presentations, or theses may be accepted only under the following conditions:
· They must be properly adapted into article format.
· This must be clearly indicated in a footnote on the first page.
The journal accepts manuscripts in the following languages:
· Turkish
· English
· Russian
· Other languages (subject to Editorial Board approval)
For manuscripts written in languages other than English:
· An English title, abstract, keywords, and extended abstract are mandatory.
From Volume 3, Issue 2 onwards:
· An English extended abstract is mandatory for all non-English manuscripts.
For manuscripts written in English, an extended abstract is not required.
2. ARTICLE TYPES
Authors must select one of the following article types:
· Research Article
· Review Article
· Case Study
· Short Report
3. TITLE
· The title must accurately and clearly reflect the content.
· It should preferably not exceed 10–12 words.
· It must be centered, bold, 14 pt, and written in UPPERCASE.
4. AUTHOR INFORMATION
· Author names must be placed below the title and centered.
· Surnames should be written in UPPERCASE, first names in lowercase.
· The following information must be provided:
o Institutional affiliation
o Email address
o ORCID ID
5. ABSTRACT AND KEYWORDS
Abstract
· Must be between 150–250 words.
· It should be structured as follows:
o Objective
o Methodology
o Findings
o Conclusion
o Originality
Keywords
· Minimum 5 and maximum 8 keywords.
· They should reflect the main concepts of the study.
For Turkish or Russian manuscripts:
· An English abstract is mandatory.
6. EXTENDED ABSTRACT
· Required for manuscripts written in languages other than English.
· Must be between 500–750 words.
· Not required for manuscripts written in English.
7. MANUSCRIPT FORMAT
Main Text
· Font: Times New Roman
· Size: 12 pt
· Line spacing: single
· Word limit: 3,500–8,000 words (including references)
Margins
· 2.5 cm on all sides
Structure (for empirical studies)
· Introduction
· Method
· Results
· Discussion
· Conclusion
8. HEADINGS
· Main headings: BOLD and UPPERCASE
· Subheadings: Title case and bold
9. TABLES, FIGURES, AND VISUALS
· Must be centered within the text.
· Must be numbered consecutively (Table 1, Figure 1, etc.).
· Captions must be placed below visuals in 10 pt font.
· All visuals must be cited within the text.
· Permission must be obtained for third-party visuals.
10. QUOTATIONS
· Short quotations must be placed in quotation marks.
· Long quotations (>2.5 lines):
o Indented 1.5 cm from both left and right margins
o Font size reduced to 11 pt
11. FOOTNOTES
· Should only be used when absolutely necessary.
· They should be kept to a minimum.
12. CITATION STYLE (APA 7 + HYBRID SYSTEM)
In-text citations
· Single author: (Adams 2016: 23)
· Multiple authors: (Smith et al. 2016)
· Author mentioned in text: Alan (2014: 45)
· No date: (Nevski)
· Internet sources: include access date
References
· Must follow APA 7 format
· Must be listed alphabetically
· DOI should be included if available
13. ETHICS AND PLAGIARISM
· Maximum plagiarism rate: 20%
· The journal follows COPE ethical guidelines
· Ethical approval must be stated when required
14. FUNDING AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
· All sources of financial support must be declared
· Conflict of interest must be stated
15. BOOK REVIEW GUIDELINES
· Length: 800–1000 words
· Must be analytical and critical
· First and second-person pronouns must not be used
· Informal language and slang must be avoided
· No visuals are allowed
Format
· Times New Roman, 12 pt
· 1.5 line spacing
· 2.5 cm margins

All published articles:
· Are freely accessible
· Are published under a Creative Commons license
· Are archived for long-term digital preservation
