Abstract

İntravenöz (IV) ilaç kullanımı, infektif endokardit gelişimi açısından risk faktörleri arasındadır. Bu hastalarda, önceleri daha sık olarak sağ kalp kapaklarının tutulduğu bilinirken, son verilerde iki tarafın tutulumunun neredeyse eşit olduğu belirtilmektedir. Aort kapağının tutulmuş olması morbidite ve mortaliteyi belirgin olarak artırmaktadır. Bu yazıda IV feniramin maleat bağımlısı olan bir hastada gelişen, aort kapağının tutulduğu infektif endokardit olgusu sunulmuştur
