Implementation Of Figures and Motifs In Kazakh Culture To Modern Jewelry Design

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the rich heritage of Kazakh jewelry art and the cultural importance of this art in more depth and to apply the Figures and Motifs in Kazakh culture to modern jewelry works. In this context, jewelry production from handicraft elements, which is an important part of Kazakh culture, is examined within the framework of a sample application. Within the scope of the study, handicrafts in Kazakh culture, symbols and motifs used, metalworking in Kazakh handicrafts, jewelry in Kazakh culture, materials used in jewelry production and production techniques used in Kazakh jewelry were examined; information on both aesthetic and cultural meanings of these jewelry was presented. Accordingly, it has been determined that the most remarkable materials in Kazakh jewelry are metals such as silver, gold, copper and bronze, as well as semi-precious stones. In addition, traditional techniques such as filigree, granulation, embossing, enameling, engraving, carving and casting reflect the subtle craftsmanship and rich symbolic world of Kazakh jewelry. In the light of the information obtained, one of the Kazakh motifs was reinterpreted in a sample modern jewelry production process and presented with its production stages.

KAZAK KÜLTÜRÜNDEKİ FİGÜR VE MOTİFLERİN MODERN TAKI TASARIMINA UYGULANMASI

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Kazak takı sanatının zengin mirasını ve bu sanatın kültürel önemini daha derinlemesine incelemek ve Kazak kültüründeki Figür ve Motifleri modern takı eserlerine uygulamaktır. Bu bağlamda Kazak kültürünün önemli bir parçası olan el sanatları öğelerinden takı üretimini örnek bir uygulama çerçevesinde incelenmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında Kazak kültüründeki el sanatları, kullanılan sembol ve motifler, Kazak el sanatlarında metal işlemeciliği, Kazak kültüründe takı, takı üretiminde kullanılan materyaller ve Kazak takılarında kullanılan üretim teknikleri incelenmiş; bu takıların hem estetik hem de kültürel anlamları üzerinde bilgiler sunulmuştur. Buna göre Kazak takılarında en çok dikkati geçen materyallerin; Gümüş, altın, bakır ve tunç gibi metallerin yanı sıra, yarı değerli taşlar olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bunun yanında Telkâri, granülasyon, kabartma, mineleme, oyma ve döküm gibi geleneksel teknikler, Kazak takılarının incelikli işçiliğini ve zengin sembolik dünyasını yansıttığı sonucu da elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen bilgiler ışığında Kazak motiflerinden biri örnek bir modern takı üretimi sürecinde yeniden yorumlanarak üretim aşamaları ile sunulmuştur.
