Assessment of Cutting Vibrations in Mechanical Excavating Machinery by Means of Variogram Functions

Abstract

Cutting vibration which is detrimental to the elements of mechanically rock and coal excavating machines is always required to be minimized. Assesment of cutting vibration is generally carried out through computer programs using "variance", a statistical term, being a measure of vibration. In some cases where uncertainties are encountered, the variance may not be fully suffice for a conclusive vibration analysis. The variogram function as widely employed in geostatistics may be considered to be helpful in such circumstances. This paper deals with investigations on the relative merits of "variance" and "variogram function" in computer assesment of cutting vibration. The results of an analysis carried out on an actual shearer drum implied that the variogram function may, to a certain extent, prove to be useful in this aspect, though comprehensive studies were recommended

MEKANİK KAZI MAKİNALARINDA KESME TİTREŞİMİNİN VARİOGRAM FONKSİYONLARI İLE DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

Kesme titreşimlerinin, mekanik kazı yapan makinalara verdiği zarardan dolayı her zaman için en az düzeye indirilmesi gerekmektedir. Makinelerin kesme titreşimi genel olarak bilgisayar yardımıyla analiz edilmekte ve titreşimde yer alan parametrelerin varyans değeri bir ölçüt olarak göz önüne alınmaktadır. Ancak belirsizliklerin söz konusu olduğu bazı durumlarda "varyans" yöntemi yeterli olamamakta ve buna çözüm olarak jeoistatistikte yaygın olarak kullanılan "variogram" yöntemi bir alternatif olarak düşünülebilmektedir. Bu yazıda, varyans ve variogram yöntemlerinin bilgisayarda yapılan kesme titreşimi analizi açısmdan birbirlerine olan üstünlükleri anlatılmaktadır. Bu amaçla pratikte kullanılan bir tamburlu kesicinin her iki yönteme göre kesme titreşimi analizleri yapılmış ve variogram yönteminin bir ölçüye kadar daha doyurucu olduğu gözlenmiştir. Buna karşın daha iyi sonuçların alınabilmesi için bu alanda geniş kapsamlı çalışmaların yapılması ayrıca önerilmiştir
