Scientific Mining Journal has been published by the TMMOB Chamber of Mining Engineers since 1960. It is a leading national and international, double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal in the fields of mining engineering and geosciences.
The Journal is published four times a year (March, June, September, and December), both in print and electronically through the DergiPark platform.
As one of Türkiye’s longest-established academic journals in the field of mining, Scientific Mining Journal has regarded the dissemination of scientific knowledge to society, researchers, and industry stakeholders as a core mission throughout more than half a century of publication. The Journal operates within the TMMOB Chamber of Mining Engineers with full editorial independence and in accordance with scientific publishing standards.
Published in Turkish and English, the Journal accepts contributions to the academic literature in the following categories:
· Research Articles: Original theoretical, experimental, and applied studies,
· Review Articles: Comprehensive analyses that critically synthesize recent developments in the literature,
· Technical Notes: Short papers describing original methods, software, or techniques,
· Case Studies: Articles based on real-world or theoretical industrial applications and including systematic data analyses.
All submissions are evaluated by the Editorial Board and independent experts in the relevant field through a double-blind peer-review process, in accordance with the principles of transparency and scientific impartiality. The Journal is committed to international publication ethics standards established by COPE.
Scientific Mining Journal is a fully open-access publication that supports the free global dissemination of knowledge. No article processing charge (APC) is requested from authors. Following the evaluation process, the publication rights of manuscripts accepted for publication are transferred to the TMMOB Chamber of Mining Engineers through a copyright agreement.
