Abstract
In this study, a preliminary economic evaluation has been done to determine the technical feasibility of using flocculation and froth flotation to recover cenospheres and solid spheres from fly ash. The processing plant for the recovery of alone from Gale Common fly ash appears to be unprofitable in today's economic situation, but increases in the price of cenospheres could affect this. If the solid spheres are considered as a second product from this fly ash, a processing plant using flocculation and froth flotation could be extremely profitable. The treatment of Eggborough fly ash for the recovery of cenospheres would provide in the first 10 years US$ 6g0 000 total at the current price of cenospheres (US$/t 1700), although taxation and interest payments could affect the profitability
Abstract
Bu çalışmada, uçucu külden salkımlaştırma ve flotasyon yöntemleri ile küresel tanecikler (cenospheres ve solid spheres) kazanımının teknik fizibilitesinin ekonomik değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. Günümüz koşullarında Gale Common uçucu külünden küresel tanecik kazanımının ekonomik olmadığı ancak küresel tanecik satış fiyatındaki artışın bu durumu değiştirebileceği gözükmektedir. Ancak, katı küresel taneciklerin ikincil ürün olarak salkımlaştırma+flotasyon yöntemiyle elde edilmesi halinde kurulacak bir hazırlama tesisi büyük kazanç sağlayacaktır. Eggborough uçucu külünden salkımlaştırma yöntemiyle küresel tanecik kazanımının mevcut küresel tanecik fiyatlarına (1 700 $/t) göre vergi ve faiz oranları bu durumu değiştirebilir olmasına rağmen ilk 10 yılda yaklaşık 680 000$ kazanç sağlayacağı tahmin edilmiştir
