Abstract
Most accident investigation follow a research technique called the scientific method. Facts are gathered and analyzed. Hypothesis are then developed to explain these facts. Each hypothesis is tested against the facts and finally, the most probable explanation of the accident is selected. Any one of a number of problem - solving techniques based on this investigative approach may be used. An investigation is not complete, however, until a final report is submitted. Responsible officials can then use the resulting information on recommendations to prevent future accidents
Abstract
Çoğu kaza araştırmasında bilimsel yöntem diye bilinen bir araştırma tekniği kullanılır. Gerçek olay toplanarak analiz edilir. Daha sonra bu olayları açıklamak için varsayımlar geliştirilerek her varsayım gerçeklerle karşılaştırılır. Sonunda kazanın en olası açıklaması seçilir. Kaza araştırma işlemlerinde uygun problem çözme tekniklerinden herhangi biri kullanılabilir. Bununla beraber nihai bir rapor hazırlanıncaya değin kaza araştırması tamamlanmış sayılmaz. Sorumlu kişiler daha sonra bu raporlardan elde edilen bilgileri gelecekteki kazaları önlemek için kullanabilirler
