Abstract

In this study the effect of dustiness of mine air on the pneumoconiosis in Zimbabwean
coal mine is investigated.
It is also aimed to find the maximum allowable concentration that is safe level as
fas as illness is concerned. The comparison of dust concentration with the prevailing
dust standard has been made and it is concluded that for the workers, a cumulative
dust dozage of 700 mg month rrT 3
may be suggested as a safe limit and the dust
standard applied is sufficient to prevent illness

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Zimbabwe'deki bir kömür madeninde tozluluk durumunun pnömokonyoz
üzerine olan etkileri araştırılmıştır. Ayrıca, hastalığa neden olmayacak güvenilir
sınır olarak tanımlanan izin verilebilir toz yoğunluğunun bulunması da amaçlanmış
tır. Bunlara ilaveten toz yoğunluğu ile uygulanmakta olan toz standardının kıyaslaması
yapılmıştır. Sonuç olarak işçiler için 700 mgay m - 3
toplam toz dozajının güvenilir sı
nır olarak önerilebileceği ve uygulanan toz standardının hastalığı önlemede yeterli olacağı
sonucuna varılmıştır.
