AKADEMİK ERTELEME VE AKADEMİK MÜKEMMELİYETÇİLİK İLE PSİKOLOJİK İYİ OLUŞ ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmada üniversite lisans öğrencilerinde akademik erteleme ve akademik mükemmeliyetçilik ile psikolojik iyi oluş arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu uygun örneklem yöntemiyle ulaşılan 490 lisans öğrencisidir. Araştırmada “Akademik Erteleme Ölçeği”, “Akademik Mükemmeliyetçilik Ölçeği”, “Psikolojik İyi Oluş Ölçeği” ve bu araştırma kapsamında hazırlanan “Demografik Bilgi Formu” kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 23 programında analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan analizler sonucunda öğrencilerin cinsiyeti, yaşı ve akademik not ortalamasının psikolojik iyi oluş düzeyleri ile istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde ilişkili olmadığı ancak akademik erteleme ve akademik mükemmeliyetçilik düzeylerinin psikolojik iyi oluş düzeyleri ile istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde negatif yönde ilişkili olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca ilgili değişkenler öğrencilerin psikolojik iyi oluş düzeylerinin %16’sını yordamaktadır.

INVESTIGATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ACADEMIC PROCRASTINATION AND ACADEMIC PERFECTIONISM AND PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL BEING

Abstract

In this study, the purpose was to investigate the relationship between academic procrastination and academic perfectionism and psychological well-being in undergraduate students. The participants were 490 undergraduate students who were reached with the convenience sampling method. In the study, “Academic Procrastination Scale”, “Academic Perfectionism Scale”, “Psychological Well-being Scale” and “Demographic Information Form” developed by the researchers were administered. The analysis of the obtained data was carried out in the SPSS 23 program. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that gender, age and academic grade point average of the students did not have a statistically significant association with their psychological well-being; however, academic procrastination and academic perfectionism had a statistically significant negative correlation with their psychological well-being levels. In addition, the related variables predicted 16% of student’s psychological well-being.
