Abstract
Kerim Otar is one of the most important representative of Karachay-Balkar literature. Especially, modern poetry of Malkar; he is known as one of the three greatest poets together with Kâzim Möçü and Kaysın Kuliy. His poems are strong in lyricism. His nation love and homesickness themed poems are very enthusiastic and highly emotional.

Abstract
Kerim Otar, Karaçay-Malkar edebiyatının en önemli temsilcilerinden biridir. Bilhassa modern Malkar şiirinin; Kâzim Möçü ve Kaysın Kuliy ile birlikte üç büyük şairinden biri olarak kabul edilmektedir. Şiirlerinde güçlü bir lirizm vardır. Millet sevgisi ve yurt özlemi temalı şiirleri oldukça coşkulu ve duygu yüklüdür.
