Abstract
Although Turkish Republic has officially abandoned Turkish Cypriots in the Agreement of Lausanne in 1923, she has focused on and paid attention to them from Turkey’s security point of view, and has continued her connection with them until 1925. In 1925, Turkish consulate was set up in Larnaca town of Cyprus under British Empire. Against British imperialism, Turkey wanted to patronize them in the frame of her condition. More than 10.000 Turkish Cypriots have been settled in Turkey. Collective immigration of Turkish Cypriots to Turkey stopped after 1925 in fear of the end of Turkish population in Cyprus.The situation of Turkish Cypriots who permanently situated on the island have been carefully observed from Ankara. A Turkish report, dated 1925,and presented here, points out in realistic way that Turkish Cypriots remain true to Turkey and her Republican regime.

Cumhuriyet Hükümeti Lozan’da her ne kadar Kıbrıs Türklerini genel olarak Britanya’ya terk etmişse de Türkiye’nin güvenliği açısından Kıbrıs Türkleri ile mevcut koşullar çerçevesinde irtibatını sürdürmeye ve onları Britanya emperyalizmine karşı himaye etmeye çalışmıştır. On binden fazla Kıbrıs Türk'ü Türkiye’de yerleştirilmiş, adada kalanların durumu resmi ve gayrı resmi yollarla izlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Burada yayımladığımız rapor Kıbrıs Türklerinin durumunu son derece gerçekçi bir biçimde yansıtmaktadır. Birçok acılar çekmiş Kıbrıs Türkleri Türkiye’ye ve Cumhuriyet rejimine bağlı kalmaya çalışmışlardır.
