There is carried out the typological analysis of the basic motive in the song about Deli Domrul (“Book of Dede Korkut”, a fight against an angel of death) and revealed analogies between this motive, Sumerian-Acadian and Greek mythologies, Jewish and Islamic legends in the given article. The special attention is given to the number of east prototypes, archetypes and transformations of this motive. Based on the investigated materials the continuity of these motives and degree of influence of previously mentioned prototypes to the song about Deli Domrul is determined.
