Abstract

Legends that have an important place among the Turkish folk narrations diff er from some other oral cultural items in that they consider supernatural events were believed by the listeners.ln this study, the legends, belonging to Van and around about the mountain. were compiled by us will be examined. it can be understood from the compiled texts that the matter of mountain can be a subject far a legend from many difef rent poinst of view such as reasons far the names of the mountains, spoken words related to origin of a stone or a tree that has an interesting shape on mountains and interpreting a mountain as a place for abduction. The environment in that the legends related to mountain are told, is examined seperately according to the context of legends.

Van Yöresinde Anlatılan Dağ Konulu Efsaneler ve Efsane Anlatma Geleneğine İlişkin Değerlendirmeler

Abstract

Türk halk anlatıları içerisinde önemli bir yere sahip olan efsaneler dinleyenler tarafından inanılan doğaüstü olayları ele almaları yönüyle diğer bazı sözlü kültür ürünlerinden ayrılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada tarafımızca derlenen Yan ve yöresine ait dağ kavramıyla ilişkili efsaneler ele alınacaktır. Dağ konusunun; dağın adının sebebi, o dağda bulunan ilgi çekici bir şekle sahip taş, ağaç gibi varlıkların kökenine ilişkin söylenenler, "dağ"ın bir kız kaçırma mekanı olarak değerlendirilmesi gibi pek çok farklı yönden bir efsaneye konu teşkil edebileceği derlenen metinlerden anlaşılmaktadır. "Dağ" konusunu içeren efsanelerin anlatıldığı çevre, efsanelerin bağlamı konusuna uygun olarak ayrıca ele alınmıştır.
