Year 2011, Volume: 3 Issue: 1, 0 - 0, 01.04.2011

Abstract

Objective: Violence has recently been started to be evaluated psychologically as mobbing psychological violence and it has become a phenomenon often mentioned in mass media and academic platform. For this reason, in this study, it is aimed to determine the perception and prevalence of mobbing among research assistants of Marmara University School of Medicine MÜTF . Methods: It is a cross-sectional study. A 56-item questionnaire consisting of a mobbing scale assessing mobbing perception of participants, questions about sociodemographic characteristics and about behaviors in case of exposure to mobbing was applied to researchers. The data were evaluated with Kruskal-Wallis variance analysis and Spearman correlation analysis by using SPSS 15.0 statistical programme. Results: No significant relation was found between exposure to psychological violence and the variables of sex, nationality, marital status, department worked at, university graduated, previous work resigned and city lived mostly in. Increasing frequency of social activities with colleagues is associated with decreasing frequency of exposure to psychological violence p

Marmara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Asistanlarında Mobbing Psikolojik Şiddet Algısı

Year 2011, Volume: 3 Issue: 1, 0 - 0, 01.04.2011
