Turkey's metropolitan municipality experience is
based on time more than 30 years. Since 1984, metropolitan municipalities have
been transformed both structurally and numerically in various periods. The last
legal arrangement in this process is Law No. 6360. The related law has brought
about significant changes in terms of metropolitan municipalities. In addition,
it has been influential on other local government units such as "special
provincial administration, village and town municipalities". In this
context, it will be evaluated in the context of the local public services of
Law No. 6360. In this context, a field survey was conducted with the citizens
living in the Marmaris district of Muğla province, which was established with
the related law- by using the survey method. The findings of the study will be
analyzed with the findings of the data obtained in the context of the Law no.
6360 on the provision of local public services and the perceptions of citizens
benefiting from the local public services.
