Abstract

Mushrooms, have been used as natural colorants in different parts of the world throughout the history. In this study, natural dyes were extracted from Pisolithus arhizus collected from Muğla province (southwest Aegean region) of Türkiye. Pisolithus arhizus is an ectomycorrhizal fungus that interacts with some of the most important tree genera (Abies spp., Betula spp., Eucalyptus spp., Pinus spp., Quercus spp.) from temperate forests. According to the dyeing results, different color tones of brown were obtained from Pisolithus arhizus. It is the first study obtained from Pisolithus arhizus in which without mordant was used to dye cotton yarns.

Abstract

Mantarlar, tarih boyunca dünyanın farklı yerlerinde doğal renklendirici olarak kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmada Muğla (Güneybatı Ege) ilinden toplanan Pisolithus arhizus mantarından doğal boyalar elde edilmiştir. Pisolithus arhizus, ılıman ormanlardaki en önemli ağaç cinslerinden bazılarıyla (Abies spp., Betula spp., Eucalyptus spp., Pinus spp., Quercus spp.) etkileşime giren ektomikorhizal bir mantardır. Boyama sonuçlarına göre Pisolithus arhizus' tan kahverenginin farklı renkte tonları elde edilmiştir. Pamuk ipliklerini boyamak için mordansız kullanılan Pisolithus arhizus' tan elde edilen ilk çalışmadır.
