A Research on Culturalisation and Socialization Performed by Teachers

Abstract

In this study two main roles of all educators such as, 1. subject matter, 2. Socialization
and culturalisation duty were tried to be reminded. According to the observations and
the experiences; teachers in post in Turkish Education System achieve their subjects but
underachieve the duty of socialization and culturalisation. Tme purpose of this study is
to find out about this preview. A questionnaire was applied to undergraduate students and
statistical analysis was corrected by 75 per cent. In the other words teachers did not do
their culturalisation and socialization duty well enough even some teachers appeared as not aware of this kind of duty. Those two duties should be in balance and precautions should

be taken to correct the situation. It is hope that this study brings awareness about those
problems.
