The Role of Professional Teacher Development Courses in the Schools Training Primary School Class Teachers

Abstract

In our century when the science and technology develops rapidly and the expectations
from the individuals change, the properties of the teachers who are trained also differ rapidly.
With this regard, the training programs covering the qualities that the teacher candidates
should possess are in continuous change in the content of both quality and quantity and
purposes.
In this study, it is aimed to compare the professional teacher development courses in
the schools that train the class teachers for primary schools and various characteristics of such
courses in the historical context.

Sınıf Öğretmeni Yetiştiren Okullarda Öğretmenlik Meslek Bilgisi Derslerinin Program İçindeki Yeri

Abstract

Bilim ve teknolojinin hızla ilerlediği ve bireylerden beklenilenlerin değiştiği
çağımızda yetiştirilen öğretmenlerde bulunması gereken özellikler de hızla farklılaşmaktadır.
Bu bağlamda öğretmen adaylarının sahip olması gereken nitelikleri kapsayan eğitim
programları da geçmişten günümüze gerek amaçlar bakımından gerekse nitelik ve nicelik
bakımından sürekli olarak bir değişim içerisine girmiştir.
Bu çalışmada, tarih süreci içerisinde ilköğretimde sınıf öğretmeni yetiştiren okulların
öğretmenlik meslek bilgisi dersleri ve bu derslerin çeşitli özellikler bakımından
karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır.
